Polar Orbital at the Nordic Space & Defence Summit
Polar Orbital was proud to participate in the Nordic Space & Defence Summit 2026, held in Stockholm this March. The event brought together leading voices from across the Nordic and European space and defence ecosystem. Our CEO took the stage as a featured speaker during the session “New Nordic Space Case Presentations”, pushing the boundaries of sovereign space capabilities alongside Tycho Space, Kuva Space, and MTEK.
A Strategic Vision
The presentation outlined Europe’s dependence on congested, outdated, and nonsovereign ground station infrastructure, which poses a critical vulnerability for satellite operators and defence users alike. Polar Orbital is addressing this gap with our scalable ground station system, built for non-permissive environments to deliver truly sovereign downlink capacity for Europe’s growing EO and ISR satellite fleet. With commercial operations permitted in Finland and deployment sites ready for Q2/2026, Polar Orbital is moving from vision to reality.
