New High North Ground Station Established

Launch of Operations

Polar Orbital has established its High North ground station operations, with a newly licensed site in Finland supporting both uplink and downlink capabilities. Positioned to serve high-latitude coverage requirements, the station strengthens access to polar-orbiting satellite passes and enhances continuity for Earth observation and security-focused missions, while maintaining data and infrastructure sovereignty. This milestone marks a significant step in expanding independent European ground segment infrastructure in one of the most strategically important regions for space-based sensing and communications.

The Ground Station Solution

The deployed ground station is based on Polar Orbital’s own ready-to-scale, production-grade ground station solution, designed for rapid replication and integration into operational service networks. Built for resilience, security, and adaptability, the system enables direct scaling of service operations while supporting the broader mission of strengthening European autonomy and robustness in space infrastructure through owned and operated ground segment capabilities.
