      <description>&lt;h3 id=&#34;the-bodyguard-project&#34;&gt;The BODYGUARD Project&lt;/h3&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Polar Orbital is participating in the European Defence Fund (EDF) initiative BODYGUARD project that kicked off in December 2024.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Backed by €6.48 million from the EDF, the BODYGUARD consortium consists of 12 partner companies from 8 European countries. The project aims at strengthening European sovereignty and strategic autonomy by protecting space-based assets with situational awareness capabilities and counteraction technologies onboard satellites.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;With the growth of space technologies and risks, protecting critical European space assets is more crucial than ever. The BODYGUARD project develops ground-breaking building blocks that enable satellites to detect, assess, and counteract threats in real time to enhance European independence and superiority in space.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
